Frequently asked questions

Below are some of the most asked questions we receive. Have a question not represented here? Email us!

  • Always film in outdoor, public places.

Unfortunately, we cannot shoot inside of public places even if they are free.

Avoid anywhere that requires a payment for entry. However, you can film outside up to the point of the admissions barrier.

  • Either works!

The quality (HD) of smart phone videos is high enough for the TripBits platform, but if you have a camera and prefer to shoot on that, go for it!

The higher quality the footage, the more flexibility you will give our editors when pulling together the final versions.

  • Everything should be shot vertically in a 9:16 ratio, 24 or 30 fps, with a minimum resolution of 1080x1920 (HD or higher).

  • Each video clip should be 15-20 seconds long.

  • We like to have 3-4 videos per location, but you are more than welcome to film more.

Start with wider shots to show the entire location and then move into some more detailed views.

Make sure to walk around the location to get different perspectives.

Try to use multiple shooting techniques to add interest.

  • This is going to change for each location. We trust that with the use of our shooting guide and your understanding of the location, you will decide what is best.

We do recommend using at least two different shooting techniques to create the most visual interest in your videos.
